In the central Berlin area an efficient North-South railway connection is established. The section North-South Railway Tunnel Berlin covers the section from the new Lehrter railway station via the government quarter to the Potsdamer Platz and on to the South. As in this area high-quality buildings exist or are planned, extensive measures for the minimization of vibration and solid-borne sound emissions were necessary. The services comprised the planning of the internal finishing work of the tunnel tube including the required floating track slab and ballast-less track areas. Altogether this amounted to approx. 24 km of tracks.
