The East Coast Main Line Bridge near the station St. Pancras in the city of London is part of the channel tunnel rail link project.
Due to the buildings nearby the bridge it was necessary to reduce noise and vibration emissions significantly.
This was done by using a canopy for reduction of air-borne noise and a floating track slab for reduction of structure-radiated noise. The floating track slab is situated on single bearings and carries a ballast-less track system including crossings and turnouts.
