The historic building of the university with approx. 17,300 m² of floor space and approx. 1,000 m² of open space, which was built between 1872 and 1877 according to the plans of architect Theophil Hansen, is completely refurbished.

Furthermore, a subterranean repository including a study room in front with approx. 500 m² of floor space and additionally approx. 1,000 m² of open space is newly established in an inner courtyard of the building.
