FCP Fritsch, Chiari & Partner ZT GmbH is launching the FCP Master's Scholarship in Civil and Environmental Engineering at TU Wien for the first time. The aim is to support talented young engineers and strengthen practice-oriented research in the construction sector.

Deadline
Applications must be submitted by 15 June 2026 via the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at TU Wien.
Scholarship amount
€ 300 per month for a maximum of two semesters to support the completion of a Master's thesis. Two scholarships are awarded per year.
Who can apply?
Students at TU Wien enrolled in the Master's programmes in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with above-average academic performance.
Practical experience
During the scholarship period, students have the opportunity to work part-time at FCP on real engineering projects alongside their studies.
Thematic focus
Planning, structural design, construction, infrastructure, energy, noise, water, GIS or construction management – the key criterion is the link between academic work and real engineering practice.

As an engineering consultancy, we see it as our responsibility to actively support the next generation in civil and environmental engineering. With the FCP Master’s Scholarship, we aim to enable TU Wien students to closely connect their Master’s thesis with practical application, while at the same time developing new perspectives for the engineering design of tomorrow.
Linking Research and Engineering Practice
During the scholarship period, students may work part-time at FCP alongside their studies. This is not mandatory but is expressly encouraged. It provides valuable insight into real engineering projects and includes professional supervision by experienced experts.
The combination of academic research, practical project work and mentoring is intended to foster close collaboration between university and engineering practice, while contributing to the development of innovative solutions to current challenges in the construction sector.
Selection Process
Applications are open exclusively to TU Wien students enrolled in the Master’s programmes in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering who can demonstrate above-average academic performance (grade average better than 2.5) both in their completed Bachelor’s degree and their ongoing Master’s studies.

The application must include:

❯ A Master’s thesis proposal agreed with the academic supervisor
Applications must be submitted to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at TU Wien: studium.cee@tuwien.ac.at
Application deadline: 15 June 2026
The selection process will be conducted jointly by representatives of TU Wien and FCP. Suitable candidates will be invited to an interview by the end of July 2026. A selection committee will then decide on the awarding of the two scholarships per year.
