Operating Licence - Chances for More Sustainability
KliNa Project of the Month 08/2025:
Operating licences require specialist expertise, strategic communication and forward-looking planning. Companies that integrate environmental analyses, traffic models and emission surveys at an early stage, gain a clear advantage – and additionally actively contribute to climate protection, quality of life and sustainable site development. This makes operating licence our KliNa Project of the Month 08/2025.
Traffic, Neighbourhood and Environmental Regulations
For a successful operating licence companies have to prepare for the following topics in detail:
• Air: Emission analyses and simulations for dust, smell and exhaust fumes
• Noise: Sound forecasts and protection concepts
• Light: Daylight and artificial light, dazzling and shadowing
• Traffic: Logistics, access and traffic analyses
• Fire protection: Preventive and proactive measures
• Vibrations: Vibration surveys
• Sewage water & waste: Environmentally sound disposal and circular economy
Digital simulation methods are almost indispensable: Noise exposure is calculated for every time of the day in advance, traffic impacts are realistically represented and simulated with raytracing dazzling effects.

„ Our analyses not only help in planning but also in the dialogue with authorities and in public procedures. They make sustainability measurable – and thus shapable “
Günther Achs, FCP managing director and KliNa expert
Interdisciplinary Coordination as Success Factor
Successful licences are based on integrated design. Noise protection must be coordinated with logistic design, fire protection with building statics, light simulations with property use. We are working with interdisciplinary teams from environmental, process and structural engineering. Sustainability arises from interaction of interdisciplinary trades.
