A completely new - and in its type unique - urban district centre is created on the 2.4 ha big area above Franz-Josef railway station: the Althan quarter

Here offices, co-working spaces, catering, local suppliers, shops and service providers, top-quality flats as well as a hotel and a parking garage will be located. This sustainable mix on approx. 130,000 m² gross floor space enables a contemporary, urban life with a minimum of necessary distances. The preliminary building measures were concluded in 2021 so that now construction can gradually start on the four components from 10 January 2022. The first measures planned are static retrofitting and demolition works.
