FCP Innovation Award

Announcement 2024

 

The FCP Innovation Prize is awarded in the field of sustainable civil engineering.

This prize is awarded for outstanding achievements and innovative contributions in civil engineering which are achieved via diploma theses or dissertations by students at Austrian universities.

FCP Teilnehmende

Who can take part?

The award addresses students at Austrian universities, who have successfully completed a diploma thesis or dissertation. The papers submitted must not be older than 24 months at the deadline for submission, 31 May 2026.

Awarded Fields

Papers from all fields of civil engineering can be submitted, in particular:

  • construction engineering
  • traffic route construction
  • structural and civil engineering
  • material and building material technology
  • assessment and maintenance of structures
  • sustainability
  • water management
  • digitization
FCP Preisgeld

Prize Money

One prize each is awarded to one diploma thesis and one dissertation. In total prize money amounting to 10,000 € is available.

Please submit your application by 31 May 2026 at the latest. Documents required (as PDF file each):

  • cover letter
  • curriculum vitae
  • scientific paper incl. abstract
  • confirmation of the final degree (e.g. notification on the award of the academic degree, assessment of the paper)
  • list of publications

Selection process

The prize winners will be selected by a high-profile selection committee consisting of representatives of the:

  • Vienna Technical University (TU Wien)
  • University of Innsbruck
  • FCP Fritsch, Chiari & Partner ZT GmbH
     

Prize Award

The prizes are awarded in the course of the Faculty Day of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at TU Wien. The prize winners will be invited to personally present their work at FCP Fritsch, Chiari & Partner ZT GmbH the day before the award ceremony.
