FCP Innovation Prize

Tender 2024

The FCP Innovation Prize is biennially awarded in the field of sustainable civil engineering.

The prize is awarded for outstanding achievements and innovative contributions in civil engineering which are achieved via diploma theses or dissertations by Austrian students at Austrian universities.

In principle works from all fields of civil engineering are taken into account for the award, in particular, however, those from the fields:

The prize is awarded to one diploma thesis and one dissertation each. The submitted papers shall not be older than 12 months.

In total an amount of € 10,000,– is awarded.

Applications for the tender including an application letter, a curriculum vitae, the scientific paper and an abstract, the confirmation of the final degree (notification on the degree or assessment or assessment of the paper) as well as a list of publications, each as a pdf-file, shall be addressed to the dean of the Faculty for Structural Engineering at the Vienna Technical University by 31 May 2024 at the latest under the following address:

The prize winners will be selected by a committee.
This selection committee consists of representatives of the following institutions:

  • Vienna Technical University
  • University of Innsbruck
  • FCP Fritsch, Chiari & Partner ZT GmbH

The prizes are awarded in the course of an academic ceremony at the Vienna Technical University.
The prize winners will be invited to personally present their work at FCP the day before the award ceremony.
