Design of a housing complex over a retail park in Vienna.
In the course of an architectural competition the heightening of a retail centre was designed. It is based on a modular system, which rests on a bridge structure over the existing building structure. The latter is subdivided into three structures and spans across the existing building. The access is barrier-free from the parking space with a lift for each structure.

The bridge structure consists of a steel truss, the other structures mainly consist of wooden modules in prefabricated construction method. The design is principally based on an ecological approach. For example wood as building material binds CO2 and the structure can be easily dismantled and recycled at the end of its lifetime.
The design was modelled three-dimensionally and finally visualizations were created.
