Chenab Bridge. World’s Highest Railway Bridge Takes Shape

An important milestone in the construction of the world’s highest railway bridge was reached by the completion of the main arch of the Chenab Bridge.
The bridge with a span of 460 m and a height of 330 m is part of the railway route Jammu–Srinagar in the Himalaya region in India. For the construction and subsequent maintenance of the arch bridge two cable crane trolley systems were installed.
FCP.VCE was responsible for the detailed design of the two derrick crane systems. It is the world’s biggest cable crane system ever built.
