FCP is Shaping a Greener Vienna
KliNa Project of the Month 03/2025
Die Stadt Wien setzt mit der Initiative "Out of the Asphalt!" , the City of Vienna is making a strong statement for climate protection and sustainable urban development – and FCP is playing a key role. Of the 22 flagship projects listed on the City of Vienna's website, we have taken the lead in 11 – accounting for half of all measures, making this our KliNa Project of the Month 03/2025!

Our projects actively contribute to mitigating urban heat islands, creating more green spaces, and improving the overall quality of life in the city:
- 1st district, Michaelerplatz – A historic gem shines in new splendor
- 1st district, Petersplatz – Traffic-calmed and climate-resilient in the heart of Vienna
- 2nd district, Praterstraße Cycle Path – A urban oasis meets a cycling highway
- 6th district, Christian-Broda-Platz – A green gateway to Mariahilfer Straße
- 6th district, Naschmarkt Parking Lot – Blooming "Naschpark" instead of a concrete desert
- 7th district, Zollergasse – A traffic-calmed, green, and cooled shared space
- 10th district, Supergrätzl Favoriten – An urban living room with high-quality public space
- 16th district, Thaliastraße – Ottakring’s climate boulevard with small pocket parks
- 18th district, Kutschkermarkt/Schulgasse – Grätzl-Entsiegelung für nachhaltiges Verweilen
- 19th district, Leopold-Ungar-Platz – Döbling as a pioneer of the "sponge city" concept
- 22nd district, Seestadt Aspern – A climate haven instead of a gray heat hotspot
With these projects, we are implementing tangible measures for sustainable urban development. By the end of 2025, a total of 400,000 m² of new green spaces will be created in Vienna – and FCP is making a crucial contribution to this transformation.
Our ambition: Not just planning sustainability, but actively bringing it to life.
Our vision: Helping shape Vienna as a livable, future-ready model climate city.
