Koralm Tunnel
The implementation phase of the railway equipment in the tunnel tubes of the large-scale Koralm Tunnel project has now begun. The executing consortium is working on the structural implementation of our plans for the mass-spring systems and the slab track. Our team is also providing on-site support in order to minimise initial difficulties during installation and to optimise the processes.
The core of the new high-performance southern railway connection between Graz and Klagenfurt is the 30 km long twin-tube Koralm Tunnel. The separate tunnel chain Granitztal is also part of the equipment design services (separated by Lavanttal Station).
The project services include planning the track systems (slab track, mass-spring systems), track adaptations or regional realignment due to the tolerances of tunnel structural works and due to planned operational programme changes (speed).
Furthermore, a total logistics concept for all trades will be created and updated very carefully. Risk analysis, maintenance plans, RAMS analyses and cost controlling in addition to planning the interior design (tunnel cross passages, emergency stops) are also deliverables.
