Clean-up of Contaminated Site N6
Nature and Climate Protection
Clean-up of a contaminated site by means of climate-friendly treatment of the waste.
Clean-up of a former gravel pit which is predominantly filled with aluminium slag dust and partly also other waste and is partly covered with a mineral top layer. The dump comprises approx. 1 million tons of waste.
The dump is cleared and the contaminated waste is treated chemically and physically in a (pre) treatment plant for recycling erected on site. In this way thousands of tons of aluminium can be recovered and be recycled into the economic cycle. This approach preserves the natural resources, and in addition hundreds of tons of CO2 can be saved.
