Competences
Transport Routes & Infrastructure

We design traffic ways that connect – safely, efficiently and sustainably.

Traffic ways are central lifelines of our society. They link regions, promote economic development and enable sustainable mobility. Their planning and realisation require detailed technical know-how, systemic thinking and a deep understanding of operational, economic and ecological relations.

FCP designs and checks complex traffic ways and infrastructures in the field of roads and railways – from high-level traffic networks to sophisticated inner-city solutions. This comprises bridges, tunnels, civil engineering structures and alignments. We always consider routes, structures, foundations, operation and environment as concerted components of an overall system.

Traffic ways require technical precision and a clear understanding for the whole system. Only in such a way can permanently sustainable solutions be found.

From the study to existing structures

Our services comprise all project phases. They range from feasibility studies and profitability analyses to basic, approval and detailed structural design up to site supervision, check engineering and expert opinions.

Apart from new buildings, also the assessment, recalculation and maintenance of existing structures play a significant role. Particularly in bridge construction and civil engineering we combine decades of experience with innovative methods like monitoring solutions and life cycle analyses.

International large-scale projects like the new train maintenance plant Cottbus, Doha Metro and the Botlek Bridge, which received several awards, as well as complex national infrastructure measures like the Koralm railway line and the underground railway interchange U2/U4 Pilgramgasse prove our experience in the design and check of complex traffic ways and infrastructures.

Consider infrastructure in an integrative way

In railway engineering we consider traffic ways as an overall operational system. Track systems, structures as well as noise and vibration protection are interlocking like operational and maintenance concepts.

This integral approach enables technically precise, economically sustainable and long-term solutions. Our target is to design traffic ways, to satisfy today’s requirements and at the same time to enable future developments.
